Raising Up Confident Young Women of Faith Through Mentorship
At House of Pearls Arts Academy, our mentorship programs are designed to support students beyond the dance floor. Through guided conversations, creative movement, and leadership development, we create safe spaces where young people can grow emotionally, spiritually, and personally.
OUR MISSION
Movement, Mentorship, and Emotional Development.
Our programs are designed to help students develop confidence, emotional awareness, and leadership skills while providing a healthy outlet for self-expression.
Many young people struggle to express what they are feeling or navigate the pressures they face in school and everyday life. Through intentional mentorship, breathwork, guided movement, and meaningful conversation, we help students explore their emotions, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of identity.
Our approach blends structured arts instruction with mentorship and personal development, allowing students to grow not only creatively, but as confident individuals who understand their value and purpose.

Just as a pearl is formed under pressure, growth often begins through life’s challenges. At House of Pearls Arts Academy, students are guided through what we call The Pearl Process, a journey that helps them acknowledge their experiences, develop confidence, and discover their voice. Through mentorship, movement, and intentional guidance, students learn how to transform pressure into purpose and grow into the leaders they were always meant to be.

The Founder | Mentor & Lead Coach
Meet MaLisa Tillman
Malisa L. Tillman is the founder of House of Pearls Arts Academy and brings a unique blend of mentorship, emotional wellness insight, and arts education to the students she serves. With five years of experience as a mental health counselor working with women and children, she developed a deep understanding of identity development, confidence building, and the importance of creating safe environments where young people feel seen and supported.
Through HOPAA’s mentorship and school programs, Malisa focuses on helping students develop emotional awareness, leadership, and healthy self-expression. By combining guided conversations, creative movement, and structured mentorship, she creates spaces where students can build confidence, strengthen their identity, and learn how to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and purpose.
